In 2007, the leadership of Alpha Kappa Alpha Chapter, Inc., Phi Alpha Omega Chapter recognized that by creating a charitable organization, it could better enrich the Northwest Arkansas community through positive programming and charitable donations.
Through the efforts of Angela Monts, Synetra Hughes, Ella Lambey, the late Ernestine White Gibson, Cora Bowie Davis, Lindsey Leverett, Tamla Lewis, Nikkela Tucker, Myra McKenzie-Harris, La’Shara Doss Davenport and Cole Brown, the Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas (the Foundation) became a 501(c)(3) organization in the spring of 2008.
The Foundation’s mission is to promote educational advancement, financial literacy, health awareness and social justice in the Northwest Arkansas community, with particular interest in communities of color. The Foundation welcomes the opportunity to partner with other organizations to sponsor programs that can improve our community and support scholarships, educational enrichment, health awareness, and activities benefiting facilities serving women, children and the homeless.
Community corporations, large and small, health and human services agencies and other charitable foundations and organizations are all welcome as partners. Your tax deductible donations are welcome. The Foundation may be contacted via it’s mailing address below:
